Receive Text UpdatesI love that nature provides a home for wildlife - the cute ones and even the not so cute ones - they are all amazing. Also, the trees and plants provide air for us all and without that where would we be?? Earth would be like Mars or Jupiter and that just wouldn’t work for us! Nature is a place where everything can live, grow, and be beautiful and I want to experience as much of it as I can with my family.
The fennec fox! They are so cute. They have really big ears, some of the biggest ears of any mammal, so they can hear sounds very well. It helps them hear their prey and stay safe from larger animals. They are the smallest fox in the world and are quite endangered, which means there are only a few in the world. The sound they make is a laughing sound, which makes me want to laugh too. I learned about a sanctuary to protect them and I want to have a banana bread bake sale to donate to save them.
I love looking for animals, everything from finding pill bugs with my friends at school to going on hikes with my family to see birds and other creatures. I like to bring my own set of binoculars with me. Recently, I saw a snowy egret and a double-crested cormorant at a nature conservancy near my house. Our family loves exploring tide pools every summer- you never know what you’ll see. And, of course, I like going to the zoo to see the kind of animals that I won’t find in Southern California.
