He is fascinated by how each animal depends on its environment and loves learning about ways to help protect them. Whether he is exploring outside or building “habitat dioramas,” he is always thinking about how to care for wildlife and keep nature healthy.
Ford’s favorite animal is the okapi because it looks like a “cool mix of a horse and a zebra,” but he loves that it is actually related to the giraffe. He thinks it is unique and interesting, and enjoys quizzing others on okapi facts.
Ford says his favorite outdoor activity is exploring the environment. He loves exploring the woods and discovering new animal habitats then drawing pictures or building dioramas of what he learned. He asks lots of questions about how to make them better. He recently helped put up a bat house and clear brush to give plants more space to thrive. He loves being hands on and making a real difference for plants and wildlife.
