Finnegan loves so many different aspects of nature. His passions are split between his deep love and respect for trees, enjoying adventures in wild places, and seeing all different types of animals in their native habitats. Finnegan loves pointing out and identifying the animals he sees throughout the day. Being around trees like oak, pine and cedars, is very important to him. Finnegan loves being outdoors and finding quiet places in nature.
Finnegan says dogs are his favorite animals because they can do so many jobs! He explains that German Shepherds can herd and have jobs with the police and the military. Collies are mostly for herding things like sheep and Blue Healers herd cows by biting their ankles and barking. A Pomeranian’s job is to snuggle, snuggle, snuggle. Great Danes are protecting dogs but they aren’t always on it. Dogs can do so many jobs but mostly they are our best friends.
Finnegan’s favorite activity is to play outside! He loves hide and seek, tag, climbing on the sides of the “ditch fort”, and looking for rocks in the creek. Finnegan loves taking solo hikes with a walkie-talkie, where he can use his curiosity to explore the woods. He splits kindling, and loves to play in creeks and swimming holes. Finnegan also enjoys all aspects of gardening, from pulling up weeds, to planting trees and flowers, pruning, watering or really any task needed!
