Rocks are a big passion, and he has a huge collection he cleans with a rock tumbler. He enjoys identifying plants and noticing details others might miss. On trails and at zoos, he carefully reads signs to learn more about what he sees and how everything in nature connects.
His favorite animal is the snowy owl because he thinks they are amazing hunters. He loves that they can fly silently after their prey and have sharp talons. What he finds most interesting is that owls cannot move their eyes, so they turn their heads nearly all the way around to look.
At the beach, he loves collecting shells, searching for small creatures in the sand, and swimming in the ocean. He enjoys seeing what he can discover along the shore. At home, he likes relaxing in the backyard hammock with a book, where he can slow down, listen to the outdoors, and enjoy nature in a quieter way.
