She loves how fascinating nature is with all the different species and environments and features that make each of them so special. There’s so much to learn about nature, it’s creatures, and plants, she wants to know it all. Living in the Poconos, she especially loves the mountains and forests. She loves listening to the forest and it’s creatures sing to her, especially blue jays and frogs chirping.
She mentioned frogs because at school, they were studying amphibians and got to watch frogs mate. Where they then observed and documented the entire reproduction experience from mating pairs, to eggs, tadpoles, and eventually frogs. She’s very interested in metamorphosis of all kinds.
Her favorite outdoor activity is going for nature hikes with her family on their property. On their hikes she looks for animal tracks, learns about native plants, and of course looks for creatures. She also loves to go fishing at the 10 acre lake on her family’s property, a lake she’s been fishing at ever since she could hold a pole. Whenever she catches a fish, she names it, holds it for a while, gives it a kiss then lets it go. And of lastly, looking for red efts after a good rain storm.
