Receive Text UpdatesShe loves animals especially, but is also very interested in trees, and will always take the time to stop and admire a pretty flower or interesting rock. At the beach, shell collecting and looking for "creatures" are her favourite pastimes. She says she'd like to be a zoo keeper or aquarist, and care for animals when she's a grownup. She's even said she'll make entry free on weekends so everyone can see the animals (I have it in writing 😊).
Besides her hamster Lily, Elizabeth's favourite animal is the cheetah because they're cute and furry (her words). She's impressed with their speed and grace and is keen to see them in the wild. If she's selected, we'd use some of the prize money to make that happen, and explore more of Africa's biodiversity as well! The rest we'll use to fund future travel, and donate to 4 organizations close to our hearts.
Elizabeth loves swimming, walks in the woods, and bike riding on the trails near our house. In the winter she enjoys skating, snow shoeing, and skiing. Climbing trees, looking for mushrooms, bugs, and birds are also high on the list! She is always up for any kind of outdoor adventure and is impressive in her tackling of big challenges. We recently hiked Acatenango volcano in Guatemala and she rocked it with a smile on her face - the same could not be said for most adults on the trip!
