His favorite animals are snakes, toucans, and parrots. He loves the feeling of happiness that nature gives him. He also likes to practice bravery when there are scary animals in the wild or in the darkness of caves. He knows that he cannot be brave unless he has fears to face. His favorite memory is swimming with stingrays in the ocean while in Mexico. In the ocean he is fascinated by the amazing qualities of octopuses, their camouflage ability is his favorite. He loves his ocean friends!
The Basilisk lizard is his favorite animals because of how cool it is to be able to run across water and not sink. He loves that they go up on their hind legs when they sprint. He first discovered one on a tree in Puerto Morelos, Mexico where he oftentimes explored the jungle, the mangroves and the shore. The sudden take off makes his heart skip a beat and he initially feels a little sacred and then is filled with such excitement at their take off.
Destin is passionate about hiking and of all the fun outdoor activities, hiking is his favorite. There are many cool ways to turn hikes into magical adventures. He brings his hiking gear which includes binoculars, his nature journal and a magnifying glass. He likes to look up into the canopies of trees to find birds. He likes waterfall hikes where he can get miles in, jump in the water to refresh before having a snack and finishing the snack. Destin likes to find little critters along the way.
