Receive Text UpdatesDeclan loves identifying new creatures. He loves to be out in nature exploring. He is very good at being quiet and not disturbing natural habitats so that he can observe animals. He hopes to one day find a new species of insect and be able to name it. He feels very protective of the animals around him and will be a great steward one day for animal welfare.
Declan loves spiders, most specifically the Golden Orb Weaver. He knows every fact about how it spins it’s webs, its body features (the spinnerets are his favorite), food preferences etc. He has a laminated trifold of all the spiders in Louisiana where we live. He calls it his “spider diary” and shares his love of arachnids with anyone who will listen!
Declan loves to go on nature walks. He collects items from nature along the way, acorns, seed pods, etc and always comes home with full pockets. He often writes a lists of all the animals and insects he saw along the way to keep a journal of his sightings. We often research the creatures we saw later to learn more about them.
