It feels endless to me, like there’s always more to discover. I also believe it’s really important that we protect it and be a part of it. Whether I am in the forest, desert, or ocean, feeling that connection inside makes me so happy every time!
I love all animals, especially horses and reptiles, but sharks are my favorite. They are really important for keeping the ocean balanced and stable. My favorite species is the oceanic whitetip. They are so beautiful and unique, but sadly they are also endangered due to overfishing and finning. I would love to help protect sharks someday by studying them and raising awareness.
I love to explore wildlife in the water, either in a creek or the ocean. I use a hand net to find tiny fish, crayfish, salamanders. I use my goggles to look at marine life, and I even had a surprise encounter with a manatee! One time while exploring a creek, I lifted a rock and found a beautiful snake that I thought was hurt or dead. When I tried to lift it from the water, it sprang to life and bit my arm! That sneaky guy taught me a valuable lesson on keeping safe distance.
