What does David love most about nature?

David said, “The wind, when the leaves go by.” He also loves catching little critters, learning about and releasing them. Going on walks with Momma and the dogs. Disc golf is a fun way to walk through the woods. Having class outside for our homeschool lessons. Smokey Bear.

What is David's favorite animal—and why?

David said, “a Tiger- their speed and stripes.” Also, he is a ‘Tiny Tiger’ in Karate where he earns stripes for his belt, so it probably comes from that a little bit. We are excited to see our first tiger in person when the Asia exhibit opens in 2026 at the NC Zoo. That’s where at 3yo he first saw wild animals up close like the giraffes, zebras, monkeys. He was fixed on seeing a tiger, but we are building the anticipation to see such a majestic animal once the opportunity is available.

What is David's favorite outdoor activity?

David loves many outdoor activities including; disc golf, Soccer, tag, jumping on the trampoline, hide and seek, scavenger hunts, swinging, walking dogs, watering the garden, hiking, swimming, playing at the park. David said, “Pretending to be a dinosaur.”
