He loves to catch reptiles and find things to add to his rock and gem collection, bone collection, and snake skin collection. Danny has a deep sense of his role in protecting animals and their natural habitats.
Snakes are his favorite because they are venomous! His favorite snake is the oenpelli python which is a constrictor, rare and hard to find. As a 6 year old, he knows more facts about reptiles than most adults! He was so inspired by Jack Randall’s catching of an oenpelli and hopes to one day catch a “ghost python” as well. If he wins the competition, he wants to go to Australia to visit the country’s wild and amazing animals that he has read so much about.
Exploring nature because he loves to discover new things. Animals are everywhere and it’s a scavenger hunt to find them all. His favorite places and things to do are the Grand Canyon, Yosemite, fishing and camping trips, nighttime exploring with flashlights and in ponds. While most kids might prefer to play on playgrounds or organized sports, Danny can be found with a bucket collecting cool rocks, bugs and leaves, tracking animal prints, digging holes, or climbing trees to get a closer look.
