What is Jr. Ranger?
Learn MoreCorbyn loves studying animal tracks, noticing tiny details in nature, copying animal calls from documentaries, and spending time outdoors fishing with his dad or learning from his Aunt SaySay at SPWRC.
Corbyn’s favorite animal is the coyote. When he was born, his aunt was a wildlife officer in Austin, studying and protecting the local coyote population. Growing up with those stories shaped his love for them. He admires coyotes because they are brave, curious explorers, protective of their families, and excellent communicators. He’s fascinated by how adaptable they are fast, resourceful, and able to survive on everything from berries to bunnies. To him, coyotes are misunderstood heroes.
Feeding and caring for animals with gentle hands. Listening for howls, chirps, rustles, and trying to guess the animal. Fishing with his dad. Digging for fossils and gold.
