Receive Text UpdatesI love the endless adventures in nature, whether hiking, biking, kayaking, or camping. I especially love exploring wildlife, from searching for animals, following tracks, and looking for scat (yes, that’s right!). There’s nothing that stops my sense of curiosity. Often starting with the phrase, “Can I tell you something?”, I never pass up an opportunity to share what I have learned with those around me. My favorite thing to share with friends are teaberries we find along the trail as a snack!
My favorite animals are snails and slugs. The spiral shell of snails are fascinating to me and are completely unique to them. I love searching for snails and slugs along hikes, on my travels, and in my backyard. I have found banana slugs in the Pacific Northwest and snails in the Great Smoky Mountains. I think their sticky trails they leave behind, or their “snot trails” as I like to call them, are super cool!
My favorite outdoor activity is hunting for salamanders, bugs, and frogs. I make sure to take my net along with me on all my adventures! I love trying to catch them because it is hard, so it’s a challenge for me. But I’m getting really good at it! I have caught butterflies, salamanders, stick bugs, all kinds of frogs and toads, and even a dragonfly with my bare hands!
