What is Jr. Ranger?
Learn MoreConnor loves how nature offers plenty of room to run, swim, play, and most of all, learn. He loves the freedom of throwing rocks in a creek or hiking up a trail or jumping into a lake to swim. Connor is so inquisitive. He once led our family on a hike around Devils Tower, and he was asking questions the whole time about how it was formed and was soaking up the experience like a sponge. Connor also loves seeing wildlife. He searches for animals with his binoculars, and loves deer and moose best.
Connor loves giant tortoises. We took a family trip to Reptile Gardens, where his love for them began. He loved feeding them leaves and watching how slow-moving they were. He likes to sit back and watch things slowly before jumping in as well! He took his time petting the tortoises and learning from the staff about their feeding routine, how they bathe them, and where they sleep. Ever since this trip, Connor has had an imaginary tortoise that he feeds and cares for in our basement!
Connor loves fishing. His attention span for it never tires, and he will fish all day with his cousins off the shore or with his grandpa off his boat. They like to catch tiny lake trout off the shore and fish for bigger fish off the boat. He beams with pride and can do much of the fishing process independently.
