Learn MoreCliff loves how nature makes him feel calm, focused, and completely himself. He’s especially drawn to water and animals—watching, listening, and learning everything he can. His face lights up during close encounters, whether it’s a bug, a frog, a bald eagle, or even a bear. Once he’s outside, he’s running, climbing, and fully alive.
Cliff’s favorite animal is the manatee. He sleeps with a manatee stuffed animal every night and dreams of swimming beside the real thing one day. He loves their gentle nature, enormous size, and the peaceful way they move through water. He cares deeply about protecting their habitats and is always collecting new animal facts.
Cliff’s favorite outdoor activity is swimming in natural water—especially when it’s freezing cold. He’ll jump into any lake or river without hesitation. This year, he’s already dunked in Lake Tahoe, the Truckee River, and Donner Lake—in March.
