Receive Text UpdatesClara has always had a natural curiosity and deep love for the outdoors that shows in everything she does. She loves to wander the trails in her backyard to observe everything from the emerging sprouts and fungus to the bugs, birds and animals that inhabit our surroundings. She watches intently to see how the creatures and plants around us interact and impact our ecosystem. She often collects items from nature to keep in her room as valued treasures and holds them in high regard.
Clara likes to say she has many favorite animals and can’t choose just one. Inside, she loves cats. She loves their playful nature and snuggles. She thinks they remind her of herself, independent and loving. Outside in our own backyard, Clara loves to watch the deer run and play and forage in the trails. She looks for their scat and prints to see if they have been nearby. She also loves her Gaga’s chickens and visits them often to look for eggs and feed them their favorite treats.
Clara loves to explore in the woods. She balances on logs and looks for mushrooms, especially the elusive Morel. She helps her Grandpa tap trees for maple syrup and plant vegetables. She helps her Gaga tend the chickens and pick flowers. She enjoys carefully overturning logs to look for worms, beetles and slugs and create homes for them in fairy gardens. She’s been know to catch a frog or 2 in the pool. More than anything, she loves to look for the barred owls that call our woods their home.
