Chloe loves discovering the tiny details in nature most people walk past. As a military child who has lived in different places, she enjoys learning the plants and animals unique to each environment. She keeps a notebook where she sketches and logs her observations. That curiosity led her and her Girl Scout troop to join an ant study where she contributed data to a national research project and learned how careful observations at any age help scientists understand the health of an ecosystem.
Chloe’s favorite animals are birds. For her birthday this year, she volunteered during a bird show at Disney's Animal Kingdom and helped present a bird on stage in front of hundreds of people. She even had a fun math competition with the bird, which made her even more fascinated by how intelligent birds are. Chloe loves identifying birds by their calls and sharing what she learns - pointing them out to family and friends and explaining what makes each species unique.
Chloe’s favorite outdoor activity is searching for wildlife along the coast. She loves spotting pelicans, digging for sand creatures like giant sand fleas, and looking for manatees in nearby canals during winter. Our walks take twice as long because she’s always stopping to observe something new and ask questions about ecosystems and the animals she finds.
