What is Jr. Ranger?
Learn MoreChase loves how the plants and animals of various ecosystems “work together.” He’s always amazed by symbiotic relationships he learns about and enjoys exploring new places. The one place he wants to travel to is Africa because of the animals he’d want to see on a safari. He also is a great swimmer so “he can learn how to scuba dive in the ocean and swim with sharks.” He’s fearless and wants to explore all the nature he can.
Chase’s favorite animal is a great white shark. He loves how they are the top predator in the ocean and are great swimmers. It’s because of them that he has learned how to swim at just 6 years old. He loves finding shark teeth at the beach and thinks the tooth fairy for sharks must be very busy with how many teeth they lose. He hopes that people who are scared of sharks learn they are nothing to fear and that they are misunderstood. Without sharks, the ocean ecosystem would fail. Sharks rule!
Chase’s favorite thing to do outside is to create ecosystems for animals. For example, he will plant new plants in a container and add a “pool” next to it. Next, he’ll step away and watch for animals to come enjoy his “house” he’s made for them. He hoped that people will do more for nature and animals by building habitats for them instead of destroying their habitats. He also loved exploring new places and asking questions about the animals that live there.
