Charli loves to explore. She is naturally inquisitive and full of questions so our outings are followed by research on all the new things we saw. Southern California has so many natural habitats to explore and Charli wants to see them all. We go to the beach and hunt for shells. We pick flowers in spring. We collect earthworms to put in our garden after it rains. Charli collects everything. Her pockets are full of “treasures” that come home with her each day. You never know what comes next. Lol.
Charli loves the whale shark. She likes its skin pattern and the way it moves in the sea. Her uncle Erik lives on the island of Maui and they have regular sightings of whale sharks. Every year we go snorkel with the giant sea turtles and explore the sea life in the coral reefs. One day Charli and her uncle Erik hope to swim with a whale shark in Hawaii.
Charli loves paddle boarding with her family in our local harbors. She is always on the look out for sea creatures and birds. We collect any trash that we see floating in the water. She also loves hiking in our local wetlands. They are full of all kinds of plants and animal species. She loves when the birds dive for fish. If we are lucky we see a snake or lizard.
