Receive Text UpdatesCarra loves to be in nature and is very fortunate to live in the “last frontier” the great state of Alaska. She is a young explorer and enjoys identifying animal tracks on game trails. Carra loves learning about animals in all habitats and how they live and their daily routine.
Carra’s favorite animal is the polar bear. She especially loves watching the pair we have at The Alaska Zoo. They are her favorite bear because they are very good swimmers and expert seal hunters. Her favorite fact about them is that polar bear hair is not white. A Polar Bear’s skin is black and the hairs are transparent and reflect light giving it a white color.
Carra’s favorite outdoor activity would have to be trail running, as well as stopping to see native plants and foraging for berries. She is a good hiker, and loves to stop to climb on fallen trees or look for burrows of little animals. She fully immerses herself, and is happiest out on the trail enjoying all that nature has to offer. Childhood is magical when you get outdoors.
