Receive Text UpdatesWhat Caroline loves most about nature is the chance to explore and learn about wildlife up close. She’s fascinated by how animals adapt to their environments and how every habitat supports different species. Nature inspires her curiosity and her artwork, where she loves drawing and creating animals she discovers outdoors.
Caroline loves snakes because she believes they are one of the most misunderstood animals. She’s fascinated that they move without legs and play an important role in nature. Her favorites are ball pythons and hognose snakes, and she’s especially interested in snake morphs and the genetics behind them. In 1st grade she presented snake research to her whole school, complete with a paper-mâché black mamba she made herself.
Caroline loves being outdoors. From playing soccer and tennis to fishing, boating, and exploring beaches and lakes. If it involves animals she’s there! She enjoys searching for wildlife like sea turtle nests, gopher tortoises and snakes and helping to protect their habitats. She also loves visiting nature centers, zoos, and aquariums, including Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium, the Detroit Zoo, Great Lakes Serpentarium and Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore.
