What is Jr. Ranger?
Learn MoreCarl loves exploring nature up close—studying plants, walking on logs, and spending hours at tide pools. He enjoys swimming in the ocean, spotting sea turtles, eels, fish, coral, and sea urchins, and visiting aquariums to learn more. He likes traveling to new places to see different animals and habitats, and wants to help protect nature and keep wildlife safe. Carl is always excited to read, learn and share cool facts about nature.
Carl’s favorite animal is the bat because its eyes seem to glow in the dark, and it uses echolocation to see, which is awesome! He loves that they fly at night, hang upside down, eat tons of bugs, and help plants grow. He thinks bats are super cool, a little spooky, and really important to nature! He would love to visit some caves to see bats in the wild.
Carl’s favorite outdoor activity is swimming because it’s super fun! He loves swimming and snorkeling in the ocean since there is so much to see. The pool is also awesome because he can play and float like a fish. Carl is a very good swimmer and is even on a swim team! Swimming makes him feel free and happy, and it is a fun way to exercise. He also likes it because it keeps him cool on hot days! Carl also really loves riding his bike on trails through the woods, where he often spots wildlife.
