Receive Text UpdatesCali loves to be a part of nature. We recently made a cross country move from Washington D.C. to Hawaii. During our move we visited numerous National Parks where Cali loved participating in the junior ranger programs, completing the activities, learning and talking to rangers, and taking her junior ranger pledge. In Hawaii, she continues to learn through volunteering. She loves removing invasive species like bellyaches, buffalo grass, and haole koa so that her favorite native plants can thrive.
During a hike to Kaena Point on Oahu, Cali got to see and observe monk seals. Since this hike, she has been an advocate of protecting these endangered species and continually learning about marine conservation. She also loves whenever we get to play in the pool imitating the movements of the seal. She loves climbing onto the back of mom or dad as she hitches a ride on her personal monk seals!
Cali loves all the different seasons nature has to offer, including snow covered mountains for snowboarding. Since Cali was a toddler she was harnessed up and sliding down bunny slopes. Now as a 5 year old, she is snowboarding the mountain with her family making big "S" turns, and taking to the terrain park to hit a box or mini jump.
