Receive Text UpdatesBrooklynn loves just being outside. She will always ask to go outside. While the big picture is great the hiking, climbing exporting the beach, marsh extra. She most loves the breaks so she can sit and take it in. She will sit and watch a bird hop from branch to branch. She has an eye for spotting animals that I often over look. I often say you are right I do see the creature now. She reminds our whole family to stop and look around to notice the small things even if it’s a pretty mushroom.
When asked Brooklynn will tell you her favorite animal is a bird. Not a single type bird, but every bird from our backyard chickens that are used to her holding them to the pair of nesting eagles at our favorite park. She has helped with building houses for our native feathered neighbors adding special stone decor or a painting them. Her new focus is two particular windows at home. These windows have stunted a few birds. So she is trialing reflective stickers to see if she saves birds.
Her favorite outdoor activity is watching. Which always makes me laugh while my other kids are more physical in nature. Brooklynn is watching and waiting. She can be found laying in the grass watching a lady bug crawl on a blade of grass, find and hold a field mouse in a xl field. She is the child that brings you the tiniest treasure from heart shaped stones to tiny itty-bitty flowers. She can always find a tiny treasure in nature. She sees what doesn’t belong plastic on the beach cans in woods.
