Afterwards, he is off for his hike in the woods. He watches the red tail hawks soaring above and is on the hunt for lizards below. With no fear, he is always looking for an adventure and thinking of ways that he can improve the areas around him. He shares the impacts of littering with others, and how it hurts wildlife and the environment.
If he can only choose one, it is the river otter! His dream day would be to swim with otters and be able to feed them. He thinks they are like puppies in water and likes that their babies are called pups. Much like Brecken, they are very social animals, so they have that in common. It may be hard to keep up with their speed in the water due to their webbed feet, but he would surely try.
Hiking! Living in the Shawnee National Forest, Brecken is constantly surrounded by a beautiful landscape experiencing 4 full seasons. Getting to explore the forest on such a regular basis, he observes the many changes. He swims the creeks, rock hounding and looking at the diversity of wildlife. He talks about the small worlds, bursting with life that he can collect in one glass jar. He is excited to learn something new every day and eager to help any animal or human in need.
