Receive Text UpdatesHe loves adventure, hiking in the mountains near our house and swimming and skim boarding in the Pacific Ocean. Whale watching and discovering new plants and critters. He loves watching tadpoles grow and quail families run by. We are south lucky to live next to the Santa Monica mountains and so much wildlife. This last summer we had a huge influx of monarch butterflies and he knew that meant there must be caterpillars nearby. We searched and found a big patch of milkweed plants and caterpillars.
He loves penguins and the penguin reproductive cycle. From keeping the egg warm to the fuzzy birds they become. He also loves the cassowary, because it is strong bird that looks like a dinosaur. He did a presentation on the cassowary for his class in 2nd grade.
What isn’t his favorite outdoor activity? Anything outdoors he will dive right in… swimming, learning to surf, hike, baseball, tennis, and so much more. He has tried archery, rock climbing, he loves to go camping, fishing, and playing in the creek nearby. He is up for exploring any time and any place.
