He wants to learn about nature. It shows because he is only five but remembers names and characteristics of anything we find

What is Jr. Ranger?
Learn MoreExploring his surroundings and learning from me about the nature in our area. We live near Emerald Isle NC which is an amazing place for outdoor exploration. We explore the croatan national forest to learn about the forest animals in the area. We also have the opportunity to explore the bay which seems to have an endless supply of new critters to find. All in all, Bodhi loves exploring nature and learning how it all comes together.
His favorite animal also always changes due to discovering new animals almost on a weekly basis it seems. At the moment though, I would say his favorite animal is a snake. We have king snakes and copper heads in our area as well as many others. He thinks that it is very cool that the king snakes are “nice” snakes because they eat the poisonous copper heads. Bodhi doesn’t handle snakes himself because he’s 5, but he always wants me to catch them so he can take a closer look.
Bodhi’s favorite outdoor activity changes constantly because he’s frequently experiencing new activities. I would say that his current favorite activity is fishing in the bay. Mainly because he always ends up catching something new. Ranging from a ray to a crab haha. It’s always a surprise which makes him smile.
