Banks loves nature’s beauty and the fact that there’s always something different to experience and appreciate. Nature allows you to use all 5 of your senses to explore it’s beauty. Whether you’re watching a pretty sunset, feeling a little ladybug tickle your arm as it crawls off a leaf, or listening to birds sing, all senses makes exploring the outdoors a full adventure. He’s happiest when outside taking in all of nature’s surprises!
Banks’ favorite animal is a primate, specifically monkeys and chimpanzees. They are curious, playful, social, and love to explore just like Banks. They are similar to humans in the way they use their hands, communicate with each other, problem solve, show emotions, socialize, and teach their babies. They are his favorite because he says they are more like humans than we realize.
While outside when Banks isn’t swimming, jumping on the trampoline, riding his bike or scooter, he enjoys observing and watching wildlife the most. He loves to observe how the animals, birds, or insects move, interact with each other, and explore their habitats. He says learning from his environment is fun! He enjoys catching tadpoles with his sister at the park, building a butterfly garden for his classmates, and helping a stranded hummingbird find safety from a hot garage.
