Receive Text UpdatesAvery is 5 years old and endlessly curious about our world—why leaves change color, how bees and flowers help each other, why possums have pouches.. Catching lizards and snakes in the yard, watches butterflies sipping nectar, and watches pelicans and others at the beach. So kind-hearted, she hugs plants gently, cares for struggling bugs, and says, ‘We must help everything!’ Now homeschooled with a science-teacher mom this would be an amazing experience
She's been big on our box turtles, both the wild ones that visit our yard and the babies we're raising for a bit. Pretty good about when it's time to let them go too. But snakes, mice, spiders, any and all the sightings and contact she can get. She's brave and excited and pushes me to do more outside.
We're big on parks, walks and bike rides and time in our garden. She's always up for adventure and loves to feed the water turtles and fish from the parks. She's spotting birds pretty well lately too. We have a sea turtle watch coming up at the beach we're excited about, it's great to do some of the things with her that I loved and remember most growing up
