Whether he’s digging in the dirt, watching bugs, nature journaling, fly fishing with his dad, or biking with me, nature is his playground and classroom. He’s part of two nature homeschool groups and the EcoExplore program, and he thrives being outside in all weather.
His favorite animal is the bobcat because he loves how quiet, strong, and mysterious they are. When we visited the nature center, the bobcats followed his toy cars along the window and played with him—it made such an impression on him. He thinks they’re both a little sneaky and really amazing.
Hiking and exploring the woods, growing his own plants, camping and off-roading with friends, fly fishing with his dad, and biking with me—anything that keeps him outside and adventuring.
