Everything—if it crawls, swims, flies, or slithers, Arlo wants to find it. He loves exploring the woods and getting excited over things most people walk right past. He’s raised caterpillars into butterflies and even hatched baby praying mantises to release into the wild. He says his job one day is to help the environment—and he’s not waiting to start. If he’s not outside exploring, he’s inside learning about animals and nature conservation.
Snakes…or anything people call “weird” or “ugly.” Arlo thinks those are the coolest. He loves showing other kids they’re not scary, just misunderstood, and that every animal has a purpose. He wouldn’t even hurt an ant.
Bug hunting is his favorite. He could do it all day! He also loves exploring new places, riding his bike, and fishing. He enjoys swimming and snorkeling in the ocean, observing sea creatures in their natural habitat. And if he sees trash, he’ll stop what he’s doing to pick it up because “the animals need our help.”
