What is Jr. Ranger?
Learn More“What I love most about nature is that there is always something new to explore and find, and learn about. I used to love tracking snails in my yard, and that led to me being interested in tracking and studying marine animals like turtles in the future. I also love the smells and sounds of all of the surroundings outside. All animals are different and it’s interesting to learn about them even more, and how they have their defenses and live, what they eat, and how they live together.” -Aria
“My favorite animals are giraffes, sea turtles, and dolphins. They are all funny! What I love about giraffes is they all have different patterns, and it’s interesting how you can tell them apart by their ossicones. Males have no hair, and females have hair. I love sea turtles because they are so graceful and I love the ocean. They all are beautiful. I love all 7 types. I love dolphins because of their tricks. They are so smart and make great noises. I love how they work together in the ocean.”
“I love to swim in the ocean, snorkel, build sandcastles, play lacrosse, and look for crabs.” Aria loves the ocean, and all ocean animals, but she also loves everything from looking for birds at our bird feeder in our yard, to searching for hidden animals on a walk in the woods.
