What is Jr. Ranger?
Learn MoreFrom an early age, we introduced our son to the outdoors. starting with hikes as young as one year old, exploring bugs, and camping together. Through these experiences, he has developed a deep appreciation for the beauty of nature and the importance of caring for it. What he loves most is the sense of adventure: exploring new places, discovering unfamiliar things, and embracing the excitement of not knowing what he might find.
Right now, his favorite animal is the axolotl. He’s fascinated by how cute and unique they look, with their feathery gills and constant “smile.” Beyond that, he’s especially intrigued by how surprisingly complex they are, especially their incredible ability to regenerate parts of their bodies. The more he learns about them, the more amazed he becomes, which has made the axolotl stand out as his favorite.
MY son is an active kid and always on the move and naturally drawn to climbing, whether it’s rocks, trees, or anything he can safely scramble up. Camping is by far his favorite activity. We go tent camping about 6–8 times a year, with trips lasting anywhere from 3 to 10 days, and he looks forward to every single one and always ask when can we go again? What he loves most is the full experience of being outside, sleeping in a tent, campfires, stargazing, exploring and discovering new trails.
