Receive Text UpdatesShe loves almost everything about nature (except the poo). The fresh air, the sunshine, rainbows, clouds, stars. The animals, bugs, fish, birds. Water, dirt, flowers, fruits, vegetables. She wishes to spend every waking minute looking at nature and exploring it. She’s like a nymph who dwells in the inches and corners of calm environments. Listening to the birds and slowly smelling the roses. She watches, mesmerized by critters thriving and feeling the earth, yet gentle enough not to disturb.
She has many favorites and can hardly decide which is her favorite for anything (her favorite color is rainbow). For now, Annabeth’s favorite animal is a tie between a giraffe and a hippopotamus. She loves how tall and cute giraffes are, and how “small” (her own words) and cute hippos are. She adores how giraffes eat leaves from trees (broccoli is a fav veggie so she pretends to be a giraffe when she eats them). She admires how graceful hippos are when they swim… and she is somehow not scared.
She adores the water! Whether it’s warm or freezing, she’s out in it. She’s learning to swim and she giggles in delight when she’s splashing and jumping. In pools, puddles, creeks, lakes; you name it, she’s in it (though I stop her before she jumps in water fountains…) If it’s raining, she gears up to adventure in the down pour. If it’s snowing, she building and sledding in it. But not the yellow kind! She’s a little mermaid who would not trade her fins for legs.
