Receive Text UpdatesWhere to begin! Aniyah loves exploring when she travels, whether that means visiting the beach, a rainforest, or the prairie. When she is home, she enjoys taking walks along the Edwards Aquifer in South Texas. She also loves reading about animals in the wild, especially those that live in or near water. Aniyah pays close attention to which animals are threatened because she wants to learn what can be done to protect them. She dreams of going to Texas State College to learn more about wildlife.
Aniyah has a heart for all creatures. Especially the axolotl. She has loved them since she first discovered one at a nearby aquarium. From their smiling facial features, variety of colors, to their regenerating body parts like legs, tails, and even portions of their hearts. Her town features the San Marcos Salamander on all their storm drains. Aniyah uses this as a reminder to do her part to protect the critically endangered axolotl and tell others about them.
Camping is Aniyah’s favorite outdoor activity because it lets her enjoy all of her favorite things at once! Her ideal camping trip includes her Aussie, along with a bike ride, hike, and picnic. Aniyah puts a lot of thought into planning her camping trips and loves finding new places to explore. After arriving at the campsite, she helps set up and prepare dinner. She also makes sure to pack fun activities, like scavenger hunts, that bring the family together.
