What does Amber love most about nature?

MY favorite thing about nature is the forest. The air smells so fresh and yummy, like trees and rain. I love to explore and find secret paths. Walking and jumping over logs is the best exercise—it feels like a fun game! I look for little flowers hiding in the moss. If I'm very quiet, I see animals. Squirrels chase each other, and birds sing songs. Once, I saw a deer, and it was magic. Being in the forest makes me feel happy and peaceful.

What is Amber's favorite animal—and why?

My favorite animal is a koala! They look so soft and cuddly, like a living teddy bear. I love their big, fluffy ears and their little black nose. They always look so sleepy just hugging trees and taking naps. I think all animals are cute, even the ones that can be aggressive such as a lion or a tiger. But the best part about koalas is when they are babies! A baby koala is called a joey. I heard they are born as a jellybean. Just imagine a tiny, pink jellybean growing into a fluffy, gray koala.

What is Amber's favorite outdoor activity?

In summer, my favorite thing is playing soccer on the big grass field. I love running fast with my friends and feeling the soft grass under my feet. Scoring a goal makes me so happy! In winter, the pond freezes over and I go skating. I pretend I'm a beautiful princess gliding on sparkly ice. I love all seasons, because I get to play outside in my two favorite ways
