What is Jr. Ranger?
Learn MoreLex loves the animals that he observes in nature. He has been fascinated by them since he was a baby and finds endless entertainment in watching them in their habitats. In his observations he’s able to learn about the cycles of life and about what it means to be a creature who calls the earth home. His favorite places in nature include his grandfathers farm where horses and cows graze and chickens freely forage and the pine forests where he lives.
Lex’s favorite animal is the American bison. When he was three he visited Yellowstone National Park for the first time and fell in love with all the mountain animals he saw there, but specifically the bison. He has had a fascination with the bovine species since he was a baby. This is in large part due to his days spent on his grandfather’s farm watching the cattle graze, but also to their impressive size and overall grandeur.
Lex’s favorite outdoor activity is to go exploring and playing in the woods. While doing this he enjoys looking for woodland animals, identifying birds, foraging for mushrooms, and occasionally building little play shelters, which he calls “forts.”
