Or have you ever seen a parrot fish cleaning corral while snorkeling deep under water in a vibrant reef? THAT FEELING of seeing NATURE ALIVE and in ACTION is exhilarating. Especially as a guest in their own habitat. He loves it, has lived it, & works to protect it all!
You have to pick just ONE? Out of the five primary groups? If it has to be just one it would be the animal Ace sees next. The one he loves to tell people the most about is the Platypus. He loves that it's a keystone specie and just SO unique! It creates it's own scientific rules; as a mammal that lays eggs, the females secret it's milk like sweat for it's young to nurse, and the males have a venomous barb to fight off hunters. It looks cool & is cool, in a world full of 6-7 it is 1 of 1.
Ace LOVES the ocean, from the tide pools to the reefs & everything in between, but it's all beach here in Arizona so he adventures the various desert mountain trails to see what uniquely Arizona things we can find & protect. Steve Irwin did an amazing job of showing places you can find snakes throughout the desert so Ace tends to focus more on the desert tortoise, road runners, the burrowing owl, migrating butterflies, and anything else that might scamper our way.
