Receive Text UpdatesWillow has always been passionate about wildlife. She loves finding all sorts of different animals when she’s outside, and enjoys spending time at home caring for her pet leopard gecko. Willow has learned a lot about different types of animals and plants through books/videos/museum visits over the years, and loves exploring so she can teach her friends and family about plants and animals. It’s very important to her that everyone knows how to protect and preserve our planet.
Willow loves snakes, because there are so many different kinds and colors of snakes. “They’re really cool, and some people don’t like them. But I do because I love reptiles. I like reptiles because most of the time they’re just misunderstood.” Willow has never really had a fear of creatures that other children tend to be afraid of. She is particularly fascinated by reptiles, but she’ll never miss a chance to see a new animal in its habitat. She was thrilled to finally see a wild otter recently.
Willow loves to go camping during the summer. While she’s there, she spends lots of time kayaking, bike riding and hiking in the Adirondacks (NY). “I like to hear the nature sounds at night”. Willow spends lots of time in the woods and near water during the summer. She really enjoys sitting by the campfire and listening for loons, owls, and other animals when it gets quiet at night. She’s gained quite a lot of skills throughout her life already, and is incredibly comfortable out in nature.
