“I don’t know how to word it!…I love how nature makes me feel…I feel like I’m meant to be there. I love the fresh air. I love to hear the nature noises… the birds singing. When I go in the woods I see deer a lot. I really like to see the fawns. I think they’re cute! I love to see squirrels chasing each other. I’m hoping to see a bobcat in the wild. I also love to find mushrooms and if I know they’re safe I like to feel them.”
“Ooooh, that’s gonna be tough…I know it’s going to be a reptile…a snake. I would say the king cobra, because it’s the world’s biggest venomous snake and because they can stand up tall and fold their hood in and out and it’s actually partly their ribs. I also like the pattern on their hood. They help the environment by keeping the rodent population down. I would like to protect them by teaching others about that.”
“I like hiking and camping because I’m out in nature and get to spot animals in the wild! I like to see animals in the wild more than in captivity. I pay attention to signs that they were there…like fur, their tracks, burrows, nests, bird feathers…I also look out for trash and pick it up whenever I see it!”
