I like that it's peaceful and home to many different animals. I would like to visit Yellowstone because I read there are wolves. It is important we protect their homes and give them space when we're out hiking or camping. I always enjoy the beautiful views at the end of a long hike. We talk along our hikes so the animals know we are there, but try not to be too loud so we do not disturb them. We always stay on the trail, keep a safe distance away from animals we see, and never feed them.
My favorite animal is an elephant. I like that they can use their trunk to lift heavy things, bring food to their mouth, and even spray water! Did you know elephants have one of the longest memory spans out of any animal? There are two types of elephants I know of; African and Asian. I know the African elephants have bigger ears.
My favorite outdoor activity is sports. Right now I'm playing soccer and I like being a part of team because I get to make new friends. We have a lot of fun together. I enjoy being outside as much as I can at the park or on the field. In the summer we go on a lot of hikes. When I was 5, we hiked over 100 miles. Our longest hike was 7 miles. Colorado has many mountains of 14,000 feet and I might do one of those when I am older.
