Violet loves to be outside exploring new hikes and trails. Her favorite places to explore are waterways, especially creeks and streams.

What is Jr. Ranger?
Learn moreEight-year-old Violet loves nature more than The Baby-Sitters Club or staying up late. She splashes in creeks, hunts for turtles, and names them things like “Captain Slowpoke.” On a hike in the Wissahickon, she found a twisty stick that looked like Willy Wonka’s cane and led an imaginary candy expedition. Her trip to Acadia was a dream—rocks to climb, tide pools to explore, and birds to name. For Violet, nature is adventure, magic, and her favorite place to be.
Violet says when she grows up, she’s getting three dogs—one big, one small, and one that’s “medium but super fluffy.” She wants a dog to hike with, one to snuggle with, and one that’s just silly and fun. She’s already picked out names and says they’ll all sleep in her room. For Violet, three dogs means triple the adventures, triple the cuddles, and never being bored—ever.
Violet’s favorite adventures are the messy kind—knee-deep in a stream, splashing through water, flipping rocks, and chasing minnows. She loves exploring every corner, pretending she’s on a wild expedition. Muddy legs and soaked shoes just mean it was a great day.
