Start Their AdventureWe try to cultivate well rounded learning in nature since we homeschool. He loves plant identification, animal tracking, catching different small critters for his terrarium and raising animals on the farm. He also loves making forts all over our property. His favor is exploring around rivers, ponds and lakes. He is not afraid is anything but we have instilled a respect for animals and insects and knowing how to identify venomous creatures to avoid.
This changes from day to day. He has never had a favor but more of a top ten that changes as he learns more about the different animals and insects in the world. The more strange and rare a creature is the better for him. He is always asking us trivia questions about rare animals to see if we have ever heard of them or know their names. Right now he really likes the cassowary and the slow loris.
He calls is adventuring. He gets his explorer vest in and grabs a walking staff and bucket and goes out to see what he can find. He’s always surprising me. Most recently with a tarantula.
