Vander is my outdoor explorer! He enjoys extremely challenging hikes, the harder the better, and is constantly looking for trash to clean up

Van loves watching birds and listening to them call. His favorite birds in our area are Robins, Mourning Doves, and Hummingbirds. He JUST built a couple different types of seed bird feeders and helps refill the hummingbird feeder regularly. The ducks by our river are currently trying to find safe places to nest, Van has really enjoyed watching them find just the right spot in our long grass. He also makes sure they have fresh water and a pile of seeds. His compassion for all animals is inspiring
Van just finished a school report on penguins, they are his favorite animal right now. He loves the way penguins waddle and how they seem to ’fly’ through the water.
Hiking, buy far, is Van’s favorite outdoor activity. He loves hiking for many reasons. The exercise, if he doesn’t need to be part Mountain goat to complete it, it isn’t a proper hike. Van loves hiking with his family and friends, hikes are better with people you love. He must enjoy picking up trash he finds on the trail too because he does it without being prompted. Lastly, Van loves the view at the end, wherever the end is, he enjoys taking a minute to soak it all in.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Jr. Ranger, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
