What is Jr. Ranger?
Learn moreHe loves the way leaves crunch under his feet and how the sun feels warm on his face. He’s always looking for bugs, birds, or something hidden in the dirt. He fills his pockets with rocks and feathers, each one part of a story he’s imagined. He talks to trees, listens to the wind, and laughs when it rains. Nature is his playground, his quiet friend, and his favorite place to wonder, explore, and just be.
His favorite animal is the turtle. He loves how it carries its home on its back and moves slowly, like it’s never in a rush. He thinks turtles are brave for peeking out of their shells, and he likes that they can live on land or in water. To him, the turtle is calm and steady, always taking its time and never getting lost. It makes him feel like it’s okay to go slow and just enjoy the world around him.
His favorite outdoor activity is camping. He loves sleeping in a tent, listening to the sounds of the night—crickets, wind, maybe even an owl. He helps build the fire, pokes sticks into the flames, and watches the sparks dance. He loves roasting marshmallows, telling stories under the stars, and waking up to the smell of the woods. Camping feels like an adventure, a place where everything is exciting and nothing is rushed.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Jr. Ranger, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
