I love science and caring for animals in Minecraft. I want to be a wildlife scientist to stop animals like pikas from going extinct.
Thank you for generously supporting Tristan in this year’s competition. Your participation helps empower the National Wildlife Federation in their mission to protect wildlife, restore habitats, and inspire the next generation of conservationists.
What is Jr. Ranger?
Learn moreI love nature because it’s home to so many awesome animals. Each one has cool skills and adaptations to survive, like penguins with their warm feathers and frogs with sticky feet to climb. Watching animals do things we can’t helps me think of inventions to make our lives easier and ways to help them too. I want to protect nature so animals don’t go extinct and kids like me can see them in real life.
My favorite animal is the capybara. They are the world’s fluffiest, biggest, and cutest rodents. They are so kind and calm that they even let birds land and rest on them. So, if you have a capybara for a friend, you have a flock of bird friends too! Capybaras and I have a lot in common. We both love to swim and eat watermelon. Swimming and eating watermelon with a capybara sounds like the perfect summer day.
My favorite outdoor activity is camping. When we go camping, I love hiking in the forest to see all kinds of critters in their homes and swimming in the lake. At night, I like looking at the stars and hearing cool sounds like owls hooting and rain falling close by. I also love cooking s’mores and barbecue on the grill! Camping helps me learn how to protect nature and keep animals safe in their habitats.
