What is Jr. Ranger?
Learn moreWhat doesn’t he love? He loves animals of all kinds. He loves watching them in their natural habitat. He loves catching tadpoles and minnows to “study” and then return them to the creek. He loves playing in creeks and waterfalls. He loves all things real and imagined about nature. Mythical creatures and characters from folklore also excite him; he knows they aren’t real, but loves the imaginative hunt for Bigfoot. He loves to observe and study every single thing. He loves being outside.
Tyrannosaurus Rex… is that an animal? Truly he would say that is his favorite if extinct animals can be counted. Other favorites include Ostriches (closely related to dinosaurs), and red pandas. He is very concerned about endangered animals and doesn’t one any more joining the ranks of extinction like his beloved dinosaurs.
Building forts in the woods. Bonus points if the forts are near enough to parents for supervised s’mores! He read the Boxcar Children Surprise Island recently and loves the idea of creating a home and surviving on an island with his friends. Second choice would be kayaking at the lake with his cousins.
