From killdeer nest distractions to the life cycle of the toads in our pond, this child can explain it all. He's eager to learn.
Thank you for generously supporting Theo in this year’s competition. Your participation helps empower the National Wildlife Federation in their mission to protect wildlife, restore habitats, and inspire the next generation of conservationists.
Theo loves learning about why everything happens and especially about life cycles and predator/prey relationships. He wants to know what every insect and animals eats, what eats them, and what habitats they live in.
He loves birds of all kinds! Current favorites are flamingos (his favorite color is pink) and peacocks because he thinks they are beautiful. We love to put out different birds feeds and see what we can attract to our yard too.
Right now he loves walking our pond and finding toad and frog eggs, catching tadpoles, and at night spotlighting frogs to catch too. He is very gentle and we always release his finds quickly. The pond critters are starting to become very active with the weather warming up!
