Tanner loves being outdoors! He seems to have a connection with animals that’s unexplainable. He shows empathy and care for all nature.
Thank you for generously supporting Tanner in this year’s competition. Your participation helps empower the National Wildlife Federation in their mission to protect wildlife, restore habitats, and inspire the next generation of conservationists.
What is Jr. Ranger?
Learn moreTanner said “I like seeing new things I would never have seen before”. He loves learning about animals and nature. We spend lots of time outside and at the Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary. It’s hard to get him to leave there. He shows such excitement for learning what the animals are, where they live, what they eat, and everything about them. He also just loves being outside, building forts, and enjoying playing in the wilderness. He would rather be at a zoo than an amusement park.
Tanner’s favorite animal is an Eagle. He likes when they dive and eat fish. We get to see eagles fly over our house every so often and he gets so excited, even more than when jets fly over. He is the most patriotic kid I know. Red, white, and blue are his favorite colors. The Bald Eagle, being our nations symbol, also plays a role in this being his favorite animal. But he does like other eagles as well and likes how they are different colors.
Tanner enjoys building forts outside. He and his sister spend lots of time pretending to be on the History Channel show Alone and pretending they are surviving in the Wilderness.
