Receive Text UpdatesStella admires that "the trees make fresh air for us and the rivers bring fresh water to us". To her, nature is "a place where we can see animals in the wild, even though they get eaten by other animals". She believes that "we have to protect the Earth, because it's where we live and it's where the animals live. If we don't protect it, we wont have anywhere to live". She often impresses me with her astute realizations.
Stella loves cheetahs, "because they can run super fast, just like me". And their "babies are so soft and fluffy". Stella has traveled to 17 accredited zoos and aquariums, which is really impressive for a 6 year old. She is passionate about many animals but has really connected with cheetahs since she developed an interest in running. Cheetahs are always a must-see for her at any zoo. We recently relocated to a new neighborhood, which happens to be overrun with peacocks, new favorite for her.
Stella loves "hiking—especially to big waterfalls, where you have to climb over big rocks and walk through water to get there". She's also a big fan of beach days because "I can look for seashells in the sand and swim in the ocean". Stella also loves the playgrounds at our local parks and her spring soccer league. Her favorite hike, Eaton Canyon, recently burned down in a wildfire. So we will soon be on the hunt for new hikes to explore!
